Our favorite Tyranasaurause Banks took her hair off on a recent episode of her show. For all of you who don't know...Tyra is well known for wearing a sh*t load of weave. Why is it on this blog? Well...I can;t answer that. All I want to say is that she looks 10 million times better in this 1:29 minutes than she has in a long time. There is a deeper seeded cultural issue at hand, but I refuse to touch it.

Today's person of the day is Latreasa Goodman from Florida. She called the cops on her local  McDolnalds. Why? Well, she had a taste for a 10 pieces mcnugget (deliciousness!!!). She paid her money. And then after, she was informed that there where no mcnuggets and was told that she could not get her money back. So what did she do? 

She called the cops. 

Latreasa to the 911 operator:

"This is an emergency. If I would have known they didn't have McNuggets, I wouldn't have given my money, and now she wants to give me a McDouble, but I don't want one. This is an emergency, my McNuggets are an emergency."

True story. Needless to say this photo was from a previous arrest.

Ok kids...in an effort to stay honest and increase my ability to help myself...I have decided to share. New York has a 10% unemployment. And I was just recently added to it through no fault of my own. Yes...this blogging fool has fallin victim to today's economy. I'm out on my ass. Living in NY....ridiculous rent....and hours of "free" time.

So...I'm putting this blogging thing on a hold. I'm gonna try to get my life together. If I see something truly inspiring, I'll post it. And more on "being let go" later. Promise.

Oh....and as a side note....when Bush was president....I always had a job.

Yes, racism is no longer a problem in America. Every American should keep telling themselves that. Skin color is no longer an issue. We jumped that hurtle years ago, and look...we even elected a mixed Presidential elect. By the way...do you know how to do the George Jefferson walk?

minority advertising.

one of the things they tell you in ad school, is not to get caught up in "segmented" agencies when looking for a real job. You know...the phrama, the minority, the B2B...yada, yada, yada. But sometimes, I think minority based ads really hit the spot. It's about more than simply putting the minority in an ad and tacking on some urban slang. You really have to draw on a real cultural connection. And they did that in the spot below. Mary J. Blidge, in every part of here life....that's a cultural heart string. This ad was made by someone who understands the culture. Check the expressions on each of the Marys....it's on point.

And for the record....it is smart, relevant minority targeted advertising like this spot, that makes me cringe when I am forced to watch hispanic puppets sing for 30  secpnds. And you know what else.....putting a pack of gum in Chris Brown's premature dancing hands, isnt cutting it either. 

That's called...stepping up your game.

...those are the exact words that I typed into Google search to find information about this event that is apparently very popular and common in the UK. It is either sponsored or completely organized by jumpofftv. Which is why I felt I should bring it to you (my reader's) attention, because information...is the key to power. I was unable to find out exactly what the point of this competition was (besides obviously pushing for women rights and equality)....but I think we can all appreciate the low down dirtiness of our sophisticated brethren across the pond. For what they call a "competition", we in the states would call a strip club.
