Nike:Stadium.

Magic might be a matter of handmade imagination. Talent may guide you to the depths of wizardry. And sometimes the sharpest skills show up through whats pure and ingenious simplicity. Dont be surprised. Or at least, dont be that surprised.

Nike keeps it all sport, all the time, now introducing Nike Stadium. The about section goes a little like this:

Nike Stadiums are new multi-purpose destinations in Berlin, London, Milan, New York, Paris and Tokyo.Stages for inspired performers, labs for innovative expressions, spaces where stories are told and others are written. We are always open, always on.

And if that was too vague for you Craig over at KMBA describes it as "a Fantastic new project called Nike Stadium, where some of the most respected artists in Berlin, London, Milan, New York, Paris and Tokyo, will show some experiments, facilities, works, performances, innovations in short, all forms of expressions artistic potential."

Nike continues to live sport. Not just make sport products.

The spot above is for a "scent" called Vulva. And if you cant make the connection in the name alone....you might want to revisit that "Birds and Bees" speech you had with your parents some time ago. Or....just watch the completely inappropriate spot above.

From Germany, to women (or men..I'm not sure) who want to smell like...well, like the crotch of a woman that just worked out.<----that description is what one would call, and exercise of restraint. You are welcome.

Morning Inspiration: This too Shall Pass.

So I wasn't feeling all that into it today. On the train this morning I started reflecting (which I never do= scary). I'm tired. I feel over worked/under appreciated. I was talking to a buddy last night about how when people ask "Whats new?," I literally dont have anything to tell them. Nothing is new. My life for the past few months has been bankrupt of "new". Mechanical. Void of experiences out side my 6x 6 cubicle. I spend most of my hours at work, just getting home in time to sleep and do it all again. My weekends consist of catching up on sleep and therefore missing out on life. I know that this is what your 20s are for, but I have literally never been so void of life before. And when I do want to plan to do something....I have to struggle to pay for it. So needless to say, I was in a funk.

So I sat down in the same expensive office chair I had seen only hours ago (yep, working on a Sunday), and logged into my Lala account after reading an article on Eryka Badu's crazy ass album cover. I decided that eccentric Badu would not cut it. I clicked the similar artist link, and the song below is the first thing that popped up. I've bee listening to it on repeat for the last hour. And I feel better. So I thought I'd put you on...you know, if you too were in a morning funk. Plan and simple....this too shall pass.

Covering March 2.

To Ford continues to remind us how poor we are. And yet how rich he is off of our money.

I hate to say this....but the more and more I see of Tina Fey, the less funny she is getting...

Ever wonder....why is that particular famous person on that particular cover?
"Go team Jolie." Is it bad that that was the first thing I thought when O saw the cover?

Shia...in the Buff.

Im a Serena fan, but someone needs to step up thier cover game.... I'm not sure if it's Jet mag or Serena.

R.I.P. Corey. I mean...I haven't seen you in 20 years but....

And another for my celeb crush (approved by the gf)....

Truly an amazing actress. I'm glad she is now getting the shine she deserves.

The Linkdown: March Madness.

1. It's pretty awesome that our Pres is cool and hip enough to fill out a NCAA bracket no? (And he is also a KU fan (my adopted college basketball team)!

2. 7 Things Diddy has in common with the Mona Lisa.

6. Disturbing picture of the day: Barbie, post birth.

7. Why Hollywood keeps making the same awful movies.

8. Quentin Tarantino Posters Re-Illustrated (i really have been meaning to post these for a long time....easily 3 months).

10. I'm sorry...but your ad just doesn't make any sense, Vitamin Water.

Cold Hearted Ads.

“Don’t treat Diabetes to your heart. People with Diabetes are 2 to 4 times likely to get heart diseases than people without Diabetes. So, visit your doctor regularly and prevent Heart diseases.”

Nice. I know the dificulties and cliches of working on a diabetes campaign. And I appreciate the simplicity of the specific ad above. Other executions here. I think this one works the best.

Cartoon Smart Toon: Ode to a Bunny.

It's been awhile since I did a Cartoon Smartoon on Throwback Thursday. But this week is dedicated to the genius that was Warner Bros, Bug's Bunny. Yep....cross dressing, Elmer Fudd fighting, Carrot eating Bug's Bunny. We aren't going too far back in the archives, cause frankly...things get a little racist and mean. But the few snippets below should put you in the mood for my dissertation that will follow.

Those are just some of the prime examples of classic Bug's Bunny. Smart and in all actuality, very highbrow when you think about the intended audience. To say I grew up on Bugs and his shenanigans would be and understatement. And when you look at these cartoons as a grown up, you really start to recognize just how genius it was. There's a sense of timing, comedy and production that would make Alex Bogusky and James Cameron combined, just a tad jealous. The subtle nuances with in all of the three videos above. The facial expressions. The sync of action to score. Character development. It's kinda amazing, no?

Anyway. That's it. Those three clips above....amazing. Especially the Rabbit of Seville clip.

Sneaker Swag: The Supra Red Carpet Series.

I'm not sure if I would buy them....but I would compliment someone else in them. Cause let's be honest...a person's shoes are the true window to their souls. Right now, my soul is a beat up pair of black chucks. Judge away....

Milkman. Mashups.

I just discovered this dj that does the meanest mashups. It's on the same level as Girl Talk, but much, much better. Here is a little sample. Enjoy.
