8-BIT TWILIGHT – INTERACTIVE GAME.

DoctorOctoroc designs an interactive choose your own adventure style youtube game based on the emo vampire series. pretty sick concept, it may be more emotional than the movie with the Zelda score playing in the back.

Forget that it's in 8-bit...cause that's awesome. But the fact that after you watch a video, you can choose which link to click and continue the story is mind blowing. Blow this shit out. It is so much better that the movies.

You Have to Watch This.

Jon Stewart had author Republican Ken Blackwell of The Blueprint: Obamas Plan to Subvert the Constitution and Build an Imperial Presidency. It has 3 parts, because when you completely own someone in an interview the way Jon owns this dude....you need more than one segment.

This...is what America is all about. Idiots having a view, with nothing to back it up. They simple repeat themselves over and over. By the way can we stop calling The Healthcare Bill, Obama Care? We don't have a nicknames for the legislative doctrines and actions under the presidency of Bush, do we? Do we say "The Bush Wars" or "Bush Debt" or "The Bush Stockmarket Crash" or "Bush Wire Taps."

Hyberbolic Rhetoric, indeed. Let's just all go around and call strangers tyrants, shall we.

Empire State of Mind.

This ranks high on my spoof video list. Jay Z and Alicia Keys should have went this route.

Scarface School Play.

This is Genius. Popcorn replaces Coke. The word "Fudge" replaces the gratuitous use of the F-word. And the death scene....on point. I hope it's real. But if it's not...it should be.

This...is what children are for. To reinact the adult addictions from our pasts.

Encore.

The Virtual Choir = I'm Impressed.

A choir....made up of individual youtube videos. Just when you thought you had enough of people's "renditions" of famous songs on youtube....someone organizes them (virtual conducting) and makes the parts equal a whole. Fucking epic. This is a testament to human creativity. Gorgeous.

See the specifics here.

Ummmm, the horse hummer.

Need I say more? No...I think not. :::Insert Video:::

Meet Granny O'Grim.

Granny is the star of a short film that was written and performed by Kathleen O’Rourke, directed by Nicky Phelan and produced by Brown Bag Films in 2008. It has screened in numerous festivals and won several awards. It...I mean she was recently nominated for an Oscars. She is probably (hopefully) a little darker- scorned by a life of rage and misfortune, but hysterical and deserves whatever accolades come her way. Check out her little Christmas warning below.

"....to destroy you." If you didnt laugh, you have no sense of humor.

Granny O Grimm maybe a little old, but she has her own website and is on Facebook and twitter. This is the only time I condone twitter use. Go forth wisely.

Oh man....Awesome Snickers Ad #2.

I'm not sure how many readers I had back in the day that saw this Mr. T /Snickers spot from London, but the one below is just as hilarious, as it is ridiculous.

"Take that...Toe Dipper"....lol

I must admit, that I too am a toe dipper. Which is a shame, cause I am from the caribbean and I should know better.

I wish I made it Ad.

Ok, this campaign is pretty brilliant. Line: Ridiculously Thick Yogurt. Do you get it? The actual ad is an imprint of the opposite media placement. I love when media and creative work together. It's magical. And I'm guessing thick yogurt is a good thing...

Great Spots drink Heineken.

I like that feeling you get when you are watching a spot and your brain is literally putting together the pieces before it is seen. And though you know (or at least think you know) the payoff seconds before hand...the fact that you figure it out, makes it all the better. That's what makes this spot a brilliant piece of creative.

Stamina Ads.

Smart Ads from _____. Durex Performa contains benzocaine (a mild anaesthetic), which helps men last longer in bed. They even made these pillows in real life and handed them out to men. Pretty genius....except for the whole anaesthetic on the penis thing...

Jeeze, 3rd post of 09 and Im already getting dirty.

my Xmas Card is cooler than yours.

AKQA's christmas card. Sure...it's pretty genius, but is it better than the card I designed for my agency? OK, fine... it is. But in my defense...we didn't have TV/video as an option. And if we did, I would've shot it in Fiji...so it wouldn't even have been done in time. I'd still be on a beach somewhere sipping on a pina colata. So...what ever.

OMFG. May 1st (the only important day in all of 2009).

The new trailer for XMen Origins: Wolverine is out....and this is it below and it's horrible quality. But I just got so excited....so excited....

F*ck this shit...I will go see any movie out just to see this trailer in real life. I saw Gambit...Dead Spin and the Blob. Holy F*ck....holy f*ck...GAMBIT!

May 1st. Deep breaths..deep breaths!

That Clumsy King.

BK (Burger King not Brooklyn) has a new reverse pick pocketing spot that's actually pretty humorous. I have always found "the King" spots produced by Crispin Porter + Bogusky to be just... just too silly, for no good reason. But the King seriously just stepped up his game a bit with a new marketing ploy.

So, BK hires these undercover agents that roam around dropping thier wallets in high traffic areas. When an unsuspecting good Samaritan picks it up to return it, the agent tells them to       "keep it, it's on the King." Inside the wallet there are a few object: a note from The King to keep the wallet, cash ranging from a $1 bill to $100 bill, a gift card to Burger King, a “driver’s license” featuring The King, and a map of Burger King restaurants in the area in which the wallet was dropped.
The best part is the details on the license. And the free wallet isn't a bad plus either. I need a new wallet. For now, the marketing ploy lives in Orlando and Chicago only. Chicagoans (ites) would go out of their way to return a wallet. If it was here in NY...say, if it were me, I'd probably gut the thing and take the wallet and cash (and clever license). Don't Judge me.

I applaud this idea. This is true guerrilla marketing.

Madmen, meet the Simpsons.

Awesome. Two of the cleverest shows on TV meet.

Yesssssss....another video.

Walk It Out.

ok...so I have this soft spot. It's comparative across the board, but in particular...I can always enjoy a good dubbed over music video. Especially when its to a rap song.
This...is genius.

10.03.2008

i mean...these are just good ads.

don't hate. you wish you made these. And so do I.

As a kid, I use to think there was a monster lurking around under my bath tub drain. That's why I liked baths....because I (my parent) could cover up the hole to keep the water in. Upon unclogging, I also completely exited the bathroom before all the water left the tub.
See...you learn a little about me, and I learn nothing about you- even trade.

A Millie (Olafur Eliasson remix).

As a New Yorker...one can't help to notice those giant metal water falls strategically placed around the island deemed as "art".

They are the work of Olafur Eliasson(thank you wiki).

In recognition...the video below...hilarity.
