friendly animal ads.

In Thailand, Black and Decker don't give a f*ck about wild life. Found these at ibelieveinadvertising. I'm assuming that they are ads for a lawn mower with blades so sharp...Anne Bolyne would be impressed (yes, I just got historical on yall). One of the commentor's quotations: "...It (the ad) hurts me, and my sensibility."

I'm guessing....this was a bad move. Wait till PETA finds out.

Whaaaaa Ads.

Let me get this straight, its a good thing to give away kids to unqualified parents?

OK....I kid, i get the clever flip this spot contains. It's a good cause and I must give them kudos for not showing cute babies and adorable puppies. Well done.

Lets talk movies.

As I await my turn in line for viewing and judging the new Bond movie, due to my new "2 weeks in theater" rule, I feel it's that time of year to touch upon theater topics.

1. The poster to the left dates me. The Day the Earth Stood Still with Keanu Reeves is coming out this year, and it bares a remarkable resemblance to another day in history, back in July of 1996. No?

2. I loath J.J. Abrams and his open ended style of writing, directing and producing movies and shows. He ruined a good part of my life last year when I spent like a month and a half looking up the Cloverfield monster and drawing connections to Lost and Heroes like an idiot. But his new Star Trek movie looks kinda  awesome. I'm not a giant supporter of remaking hits from the past, and the only thing I really remember about Star Trek was that Whoopi Goldberg use to be on it (eye brow less). I will spend money to see this movie. I've proclaimed it. Let's just hope for my sake that it is of the same cinematic quality and excellence as Joy Ride. Wakk wakka wakka.

3. Tim Burton is making his version of Alice in Wonderland. Here is Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter. Like all Tim Burton's movies (and Johhny Depp movies for that matter), there's plenty of baby powder and eye liner for everyone. However, I will reserve judgement until I hear their version of "A Very Merry Unbirthday."

4. See you soon Bond, Quantum Leaps of Solar Eclipse...soon...

someone went a little photoshop crazy...

....over at GQ. I'm not hatin here (and maybe its just me)....but doesn't this cover shot look like the love child of Obama and Denzel Washington?

Hmmmm.....

UPDATE: I figured it out...they darkened him up a bit too much....but I really think its more than that....

UPDATE :2 Check the GQ man of the year list, to see if you made it.

The Real Secret.

I usually like to wait until the actual showing of the Victoria Secret Annual Nudie Walk before I talk about it on my blog. But, being the savy Internet peruser that I am these days....I thought I would bring these few pics to the light.

Frankly...this looks to be a silly show. There are more costumes than there are bras and thongs. Honestly...how am I suppose to share a bed with that butterfly business in the first pic without either loosing an eyeball or getting impaled?  Also good to note, no one watches the Annual Nudie Walk for the bells and whistles. I think Victoria/Victor needs to get his/her's ear back to the street...from the pics alone, it seems like the only thing they are missing is a pulley system. Bras and thongs, that's the real secret.

But still....to these pictures...yes please.

(i wonder how much room this post will take up.)

SNL. Funny w/out Sarah Palin.

Watch this before it gets taken down; a spoof on Beyonce's new single (Single Ladies). I tried to post about it earlier today, NBC was doing its rounds. SNL was funny last Saturday...and I missed it.

It's as Simple As This.

“God came to earth and saw people sticking it wherever and doing it with whatever, and he just cleared it all out. He was, like, ‘Enough.’ ”
-Prince,
(expressing his opinions to The New Yorker opinions regarding Prop 8.)

this quote surprises me. Men who take album cover photos like the one above and use to show their ass on stage accompanied by velvet and frilled shirts on a nightly basis, shouldn't really be predicting the smiting (did i get the tense right?) of mankind. Then again...reading the interview made me feel like I was watching the Dave Chapelle show, so I could be misinterpreting here.

New GAP spots for Christmas.

You knew they were coming...celeb filled GAP commercials for Santa Day.

This spot above is actually pretty funny. I laughed out loud (partially at how horrible this seasons cloths are). This version has FlowRider in it. And I must disagree with Craig, FlowRider in a GAP commercial ranks pretty high on my Bullsh*t radar. I mean...he is wearing air force ones. They don't sell those at the GAP, yet. I feel like there was some poor production assistant who tried to make him put on some chucks and failed miserably.

Still, one of the most entertaining GAP spots I've seen since the "Fall into the GAP" campaign some years ago ( I love puns). I may be a little bit biased though...I believe I was trying to acquire a part time job at the GAP at that exact time in history. Eh....thought I'd share.

The LV child.

But unlike the last small starving Vuitton child, this piece of "art" beckons my inquiry.

What exactly is the point of this? Why would someone make it? And why would someone put it in their home?
