Dancers Among Us.

Dancers Among Us is an ongoing project by Jordan Matter featuring top professional dancers in everyday situations around New York City. There were no trampolines or other devices used for these images, just thousands of hours of training!

Cool idea. Cool Project. One day...I hope to learn how to do the windmill. You know...like, outside the 59th street station, on some cardboards with porfessional b-boppers. Yep. I dream big.

Spidey meets Fashion (and a musical).

Photographer Annie Leibovitz went behind the scenes of the new Broadway musical Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, (yes, Spiderman is doing to be a musical) directed by Julie Taymor with music and lyrics by Bono and The Edge, to shoot this fashion editorial for Vogue's December issue.

A brief description of the play....

"Drawing from over 40 years of Marvel comic books for inspiration, Spider-Man, Turn Off the Dark spins a new take on the mythic tale of a young man propelled from a modest rowhouse in Queens to the sky-scraping spire of the Chrysler Building, the bustling offices of the Daily Bugle, through the dizzying canyons of Manhattan, to new vistas never before seen. The musical follows the story of teenager Peter Parker, whose unremarkable life is turned upside-down— literally—when he’s bitten by a genetically altered spider and wakes up the next morning clinging to his bedroom ceiling. This bullied science-geek—suddenly endowed with astonishing powers—soon learns, however, that with great power comes great responsibility as villains test not only his physical strength but also his strength of character

Faceless Americans.

In an attempt to bring knowledge to the world about the travesty that is the "Don't ask, dont tell" policy Jeff Sgeng exhibits faceless portraits of gay servicemen and women of America. This is a sad thing that is becoming common place here in America. Putting your own freedom's above others. To tell someone that they are good enough to die for thier country, as long as they don't tell anyone they are gay....goes against everything that supposedly makes America different. Supposedly.
