Simple, yet effective.

A few late Christmas guerilla ideas....

The greatest moments are ususally the smallest ones. Imagine if this happened to you while you were on a holiday flight (never good). The red and green lights got me.

Advertising Agency: Evek, Monterrey, Mexico

I'm on the fence about the effectiveness of this one, but I have to admit....a choir calling someone a ginger to the tune of jingle bells, will always have a place in my heart.

Back for the Future.

In an effort to support the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s research, a limited amount of probably the most famous fictional shoes in the past 3 decades are being sold.

Introducing the Nike Mag.

Overall, I think it's a pretty in-genius collabo. See more at Back4thefuture. Well done indeed, and for a good cause.

Key Element Movie Wallpapers.

Your Dog Doppleganger.

So a cool new site, made with the specific purpose of finding homes for homeless pups just launched. It's getting alot of buzz. The premise.....take a picture of yourself and the site will analyze who you doppelganger is. I must admit....I like it because it caters ONLY to dogs (f*ck you cats). I took the liberty of testing it for you.

Don't you just want to rub my belly? So now all I have to do is find this dog Elliot. Adopt him lovingly. And kill him. Because there can be only one. Go ahead...give it a try.

Beetle Drift (fast and furious).

Thi sis me ruining the Super Bowl for you. I guess this is one og the spots from VW for thier Beetle. I literally, love it. Not a big fan of the music used (very addy), but come on...it's such a natural progression.

Floating River Pools.

+ Pool is an initiative by a group of architects and designers to build a floating pool in the rivers of New York City… and they need your help. The project was launched with the ambition to improve the use of the city’s natural resources by providing a clean and safe way for the public to swim in New York’s waters. This site is the culmination of Concept Design for + Pool and they are looking to build a team of interested organizations and professionals to continue the development of the project into a buildable proposal.

Their next step is to partner with local cultural, developmental and environmental groups to raise public and private interest, identify civic potential and approach the municipality, while working with engineers, planners and specialists to refine the social and ecological performance of + Pool.

These are a good idea, because lets face it. The only thing the sucks about NY is it's lack of easy access to swimming in the summer (chicago!!!). There either needs to be alot of these, or it should be a membership type of thing....cause just the thought of another NY public pool makes me want to get STD testing.

Old Spice, I'm on personalized messaging.

Old Spice gets personal and takes to personalized videos to respond and reach out to bloggers, YouTube commenters, Twitterers and celebrities. The talent is irresistibly charming and suave like Obama when he was getting elected, so it's no wonder W + K is capitalizing on the "I'm on a horse" love. Allegedly he has done over 150 videos in this blitz. Old Spice must be going bananas over the popularity and I know the creatives are feeling themselves hard right now. Kudos to the writers for the script. And kudos to the high hats who let this campaign fly. Talk about connecting with the consumer......

Below are my three favorites...thus far.

A twitter marriage proposal....genius.

The Book of Enchanting Success filled People that are Winning in Life and Deserve Cakes.

All is not lost. Conan is alive.

I don't know about you, but I have comletely given up on The Late Night Show. Sure...it wasn't all Jay's fault (other than simply not calling it quits), but fear not. Conan and his witty banter now live on a website called A Place for Conan. What I don't think NBC has realized it that Jay Leno's TA is slowly but surely dyeing off. In replacement is this tech savy generation that just wont let go.....

"Conan has lost his home and his rightful place on millions of screens across the nation.

His audience is also lost. Some are picking up the pieces of their lives, but many can’t. Some are too young to know this isn’t their fault: that they’ve done nothing wrong. So, until this talented, brilliant, voluptuously coiffed man has his show back, we shall offer him our screens.

His tweets will be displayed 22 feet wide on thousands of digital displays across this great land in the noble hope of putting a little Conan back in all of our lives. Lamar is with Coco."

And in the mean time...all of his tweets will be displayed on billboards around the world. Ok...fine, just the US. But still....that's kinda awesome.

Awesome Greek and Roman Mythology Ad.

Simple (check). Use of mythical creatures (check). Two of my favorite things in one ad.

The Remote Bottle Opener.

Speaking of human ingenuity with my last post (almost a day ago). Why did it take so long for this to happen?

DHL Couture.

DHL is the official logistics partner of Fashion Week worldwide. Our task was to create an international campaign that emphasises DHL’s competence in the fashion industry. To communicate the close connection between DHL and the fashion world we turned fashion itself into our main advertising medium. In cooperation with Michael Michalsky – one of Germany‘s most famous designers – we created a special haute couture collection: dresses exclusively made of original DHL packaging materials. Bringing to life our motto: ”DHL – the perfect fit for the fashion world“. The dresses were displayed on dummies at the DHL stand at Fashion Week and worn by hostesses. An elaborate fashion shoot with our dresses provided the motifs for our print material, such as posters, invitation cards, a calendar etc., and the online campaign.

Lovely. Simply lovely.

Cool LOST ads.

So...apparently when you are on Kayak, and searching for flights.........Ocenaic pops up in the mix. Playing with media = Pretty genius (and kinda scary).

Side Note: I thought Kayak was suppose to be a "deals" site. I dunno sh*t looks real pricey to me.

A Little Bit of Genius from Korea: Baby Sexy.

Using a well-known (for being sexy)half nakey pics of grown ups to show-metaphorically- the next big boy steps that every kid must take...is smart as hell. I saw this ad like a week ago...but it's not until I saw it next to Beckam that I made the real connect. I mean...look at that oiled up babies' face. Fierce.

Bathroom Graffiti confronts AIDes (AIDS).

Pretty clever. A little NSFW....but this brings me to a larger issue at had: What is going through the minds of the people who draw penises (peni) on things? I went to a all boys school....and certain people (I'm going to be PC about this) just had an affliction with penises all over the place. And then they would laugh and laugh. I mean....if you are going to draw private parts in 3rd period on you marble notebook (or your friends)....why not draw a vagina?

I'm just saying.

Really, really high quality printing.

I love this. Why can't I work at a shop where ideas like this make it to print?

Cross Dressing Signage.

"Xdress.com is an online boutique for male cross dressers. Problem was lack of awareness and traffic to their website. Our solution was to create a memorable guerilla piece that can be easily applied. Adhesive dresses containing the site’s URL that could easily be applied to public washroom symbols."

I provided the link....just incase one of you-m lovely readers were interested.
