Can You Dig It?

I have decided to dedicate this Throwback Thursday to the 1979 cult classic The Warriors. Any self proclaimed cool kid has seen this movie. I originally was going to retell the story via youtube video (I just spent an hour of my life looking up and collecting certain scenes to show them in chronological order)...but I think it best to do a brief overview instead. 

Plot:

NY is riddled with gangs (and not the lame ones of today that go by colors and "other things" but totally bad ass ones that dress up like their individual names and kick some serious ass on a regular basis).  Cyrus, the leader of one of the most powerful gangs in NY, the Gramacy Giffs has called a summit to unite all the gangs of the NY area in which there was suppose to be a truce. A Coney Island gang called the Warriors heads on down to the Bronx to attend. And the following occurs.

So the Warriors are blamed for Cyrus' death. And the plotless action commences. Now the Warriors must fight their way back to Coney Island and cross through the territories of rival gangs focused on revenge. There is alot of fighting and there is a lot of running. They end up fighting a lot of gangs along the way with awesome names like The Lezzies (aka sometimes you gotta hit a hoe), The Punks, the Orphans and the Baseball Furies.
