Whats my M*tha F*ckin name!!

Ive been meaning to make this for some time. Though this is a very brief version of who i consider my aunts and uncles of hip-hop and r&b, these are they key people that i feel the closest to.

One half is my hip hop uncles and the other my r&b aunts (said like 'awwnts') and that makes me, L!

Uncle Snoop
i think this all started with him. He calls everyone his nephew and some his uncle, but there is never an aunt or niece. So i call him Uncle therefore I am his niece. Being from California (Californian's never call their state Cali. That's how we can tell if you moved here and/or visting) I love the laid back sound of hiphop. Snoop was probably this first hip-hop artist that i really got into. "One, two, three and to the fo'..." I was hooked.

Im going to try to see him at Lolla this summer. Him in the summer, in chicago-- gonna be so much fun! Also if you never caught wake n bake show, its hilarious and has the best old school you'll ever hear.

Keith on Prop 8.

Liberal holding house, MSNBC's  Keith Olbermann delivered a "special comment" this evening devoted to the passage of Proposition 8.

"You want to sanctify marriage? You want to honor your God and the universal love you believe he represents? Then Spread happiness -- this tiny, symbolic, semantical grain of happiness -- share it with all those who seek it. Quote me anything from your religious leader or book of choice telling you to stand against this. And then tell me how you can believe both that statement and another statement, another one which reads only "do unto others as you would have them do unto you."

Bay Errr-eah (did I get that right Maya) slang. All of them make complete sense to me...but I think it's a little unfair that one cannot "Go Stupid" unless they have dreds. I tried the other day and immediately received a west coast text telling me that I was wasting my time.

Prop 8. How backwards can someone be?

In California this is a big thing. The gay and lesbian community are trying to gain equal rights to that of  heterosexual people and the passing of Prop 8 would simply not allow this. Today is the day that this issue is sorted out. But the reason I am posting this...is because I ran into this video urging young people to vote for the passing of Prop 8, in order to save the sacred institution of marriage. Please notice the use of spin. 

How astoundingly ignorant. To quote the following as negative plot points: children being taught that marriages are all the same, adoption agencies giving babies to gays, churches being forced to have same sex marriages. Since when is it a negative thing to force equality upon a nation founded on those principles? Are these people listening to what they are saying? The most hypocritical excuse in my opinion is the "I have a gay friend" clause. What he is basically saying is..."you, keep doing all that gay sh*t...I accept it, you are still a good person but you are not good enough of a person to have the same rights as I do."  There is something awefully evil about a friend telling you about your right for equality. No?

Read some of the crap on their website. It will literally make your head spin. And the kids they used to make these spots...the complete conservative dorks- an A-List of people I would not want to be friends with.
