Somewhere around 20 seconds or so, when you see the bottle of Cog-nac dressed like a church-lady. The Dream says, "I know you love when a N-(bomb) break it down."
I mean....uf that quote alone doesn't make you watch the spot, I dont know what will. Anywhooo....Craig over at KMBA wrote up a lil post on using the N-Word in spots and raises the question after a hysterica albeit relevant intro: Does the N-word transcend profanity to the majority of African Americans and should we be using it in commercials?
My opinion...well, it's for a type of cognac. Black people drink cognac. The spoc it ridiculously not about or saying anything. The Dream is sooooo 2 years ago. But no, the N-word doesnt transcend a damn thing. It should not be used is spots for cognac.
Read, and respond. And yes, that is liquor bottle dressed up like a church lady.
