Look what I found. Janet Jackson comeback song. If only I knew what was going on in the video. Believe me...I like "wierd" and "strange" as much as the next insane person, but this video makes my mind hurt.
Is she dancing on milk?

it's all about the angle.
I think it is funny, the amount of pride that the mid-west has. As an East Coaster at heart, I have come to learn the ways, secret codes and passwords that make up the world that is middle America. As, hundreds rock their Indian University shirts, another hundred flock to the local bar to watch the Ohio State vs _______ (insert random ass midwest state here) game. here they care about such things as the Cotton and Orange Bowl, and use terms such as "Lake Effect" and "Pasture". And this...is a good thing. Them thinking that Missouri and Nebraska are actually real locations, that the average person would want to visit and ejoy, is admirable. But the problem lies in this simple fact...When you inform them that the middle states infact, do not matter...they get all up in arms. So, I just wanted to briefly state some facts.
1. On the east coast...no one knows that your state exists. Infact the only time they do realize it, is if they are getting quizzed on states and capitals in grade school. I dare anyone in the US to act like they never heard of NY.
2. Coolness factor. Or lack there of. I have not met one person from this state or its surrounding that I envy in the slightest. And I am not talking that mean, im gonna get you sucka envy , but in that thats a real cool cat, i wouldnt mind chillin with them sorta envy. I feel like every time I meet someone new, its just an alteration of someone I met earlier. "Are you the twin of?"

3. Chic-less. As born to be western folk...and probably the descendants of some of the most skilled gun slinging cowboys of the West...chic, trendy and ahead of the curve....you guys are not. I have never once been wowed when I went out... here is chicago. Not to say that fashion and culture is not on the forefront here...but damnit, I use to get wowed on the regular in my own town...and I am 23.
4. This one is personal. Girls dress real different here. There are far more dresses. Less high heels (in general). And less tight jeans. And this, makes me sad. Girls are way more homely over here. And thats whap whap. Where are the gals with the tight jeans and high heel boots and fitted winter coats. You knw? dem girls with the pum pum shorts.
And its not like I dont love you middle America. I do, indeed appreciate you, even the states that are clearly Confederate at heart and especially those that import their black people in for sports, and then send them home after 4 years. But you just have to be put in you place. You are nothing more than the glue that keeps the East and West Coast from floating away. And you are a mighty fine glue made of the most precious of gems, but you are not the main attraction.
Love Shaun (from NY)

cruzing for lesbians.

Penelope, Penelope, Penelope. Just when you think that there is a girl out there without Lesbian tendencies...There are a couple things that should be revealed (without them, this post would be totally unfair and slanted, like Fox News)
1. Penelope makesout with a girl, not really on her own accord (as if it mattered), but for a music video.
2. Not only does the video,“Cosas Que Contar.” star her brother [whom I guess is the talent], but it was his genius idea to make her a lesbian
3. The counter lesbian...is her sister
Way to keep it in the family Cruzs. BOOYAH!
logically Speaking:

dark knight.
though, i have been literally sitting by my tv widdeling (sp?) a piece of wood, eyes glued to the tv for the Hawaii....I mean New Hampshire Primary, it was this video alone that has drawn a final conclusion. I vote for the dark knight.

2. Umbrella- Rihanna ft Jay Z (122)
3. Lost Without You- Robin Thicke (108)
4. Ice Box- Omarion (106)
5. Lonely World- Robin Thicke (88)
6. Complicated- Robin Thicke (84)
7. My Love- Justin Timberlake (83)
8. All Over Again- Justin Timberlake (77)
9. Right Now-Danity Kane (71)
10.Braveworld- Amel Larrieux (70)
According to my list...I am either a hopeless romantic, or a lazy, detached bum who likes to listen to emotional songs...because those words are about as close to those emotions as he can get. Sprinkled in their are some mid-tempo joints...that show you that I am not a total bore, but I am indeed outnumbered.
There are no club bangers. Infact the closest one ranks in at 53...DJ Quick, Can You Work With That. And I'm not even from the coast were that song was produced.
It's easy really. Your playlist is you. And you are your playlist. I use to have a roomate who would down load songs as soon as I played them out loud...and quiet frankly, I felt as if my soul was being stolen.
So look deep, hard, and without a skip button. Cause there's a little bit...no, alot a bit that can be told about you, simply from your playlist.

blog readers...are you ready?

Ok. ok. ok. So, you had to know that this post was coming. I am super excited. I had planned to talk TV shows this Monday, but something very special and a little magical happened to me last night, that made me change my mind. That magical thing is called, American Gladiators. Originally a product of the 80s/90s, it has made its comeback with new Gladiators...new contestants...and new hosts (Hulk Hogan & Laila Ali). So, I guess the real question here is..."Does the new American Gladiators compare to the Old American Gladiators?"
Let's make this organized, shall me....
The Gladiators. Alright, so in the past (80s), there was no real difference b/t the male gladiators and the female ones. All gladiators where muscle bound, diesel behemoths of a person. Breasts, did not exist. Rock n roll hair had swept nation. To the naked eye...all of them were muscle beach, monsters. And though as 6 year olds, my cousin and I did have a monster crush on Diamond, it is safe to say that those standards...though good for beating the average person to a bloody pulp, did not work for TV. Todays Gladiators have a little bit of Spunk to them. They arent just a mass of muscles with crazy non-sensicle names. They are masses of muscles, with non-sensicle names...that now have identities. Por ejemple Wolf...howls before he pounces his contestant prey, while Toa does a little jingle jangle native dance number that leaves you a little bewildered. Hellga, is a monster of a woman...obviously the descendant of some mix of Hell and Holland(check out her monster thighs). While Crush, is kinda cute....in a can beat your ass up kinda way.
The Contestants. I think, that the Y2K contestants are way tougher than the old ones. I'm talking black girls capable of just jumping in the water (not even worrying about thier weave), contestants from the Army (who dont do that well, frankly NOT all they can be..dont tell Bush I said that). The bronx tales firefighter did very well..while the life coach just didnt have what it took. But all, still very impressive...sans Skater Dad..whap whap. But dont get me wrong...the old feelin is till there. As contestant battle and push themselves to the brink of their physical limits, we the viewers..sitting home chomping on a Burrito w/ extra cheese get to watch them be mercilessly suplexed and fall over in exhaustion for no good reason at all. So..very, very entertaining.
The Arena. Everyone has thier favorite challenge. Whether it is the joust...where you go against a gladiator 5 times the size of you with an over sized q-tip. Powerball, which is dodgeball without the ball...but with an emphasis on the dodge. Or Pyramid, which tires me out just watching it. My personal favorite is Hang Tough, and that..i must admit was lacking. The old hang tough was impossible. Even if you were squirmy enough to avoid the xena leg grip of the gladiator...you still had like a mile of swinging from ring to ring to do b4 you won. This one...is too short. Way too short. The Eliminator. According to every contestant that stumbles across it, is as grueling as the old one. A small wall. A swim under a wall o' flames. 30 foot horizontal climb. A spinning thing that you hold on to (allegedly), the arm bicycle, climb to the top of the pyramid, and then the treacherous uphill moving platform all combine to form the ultimate human inspiration demoter. Great!
All in all. I think it was a success. It is like...a real world challenge(which is also starting anew), but without all the in between nonsense. The average joe against a formidable, monstrous enemy. David vs Goliath. Daffy vs Bugs (daffy always got played). three thumbs up from this critic.,,,and maybe four after tonight.
Wooorah!

pictures and words.
As the wordly scholars say...."art is simply the expression of the human soul."
Which I made up...but if scholars did/do say that, then I inturn, would be a scholar. And as a scholar...the following artistic jig saw pieces construct the puzzle that is life, in general. Or my life anyway.
I could give a damn what you say, think, eat, drink or do. But, I will still judge you accordingly for the stupid sh*t that comes out your mouth. Y heard! Whap whap.
Definition: the quality of stating facts that you believe or want to be true, rather than stating facts that are known to be true.
And yes this is from The Cobert Report. If you are living in a dream world or made up reality....this IS you. Peaches and cream...is just a song, not reality.
And that's it. Pretty random. Just some art that clearly defines me and my relationship to the world. I saw it. I posted it. And now I...no we move on.
Oh, oh, oh wait...I got one more.....

A common problem among society today. Everyone is so high strung all the time. They are pissed cause thier day was or they are not where they want to be. Dont take it out on me. Duuuuuude!

Classic!
your calling is calling?
At first i didn't get it. Wat I saw was "Your job sucks...all the time..so much so that you hate every monotonous drawn out day." And I responded with a "Yeah, work does suck." Then I wanted to go to monster.com to change my life...from an underpaid, in debt, jobless alum to a happy, spirit-free, lover of life." Then I realized that, that was NOT wat these spots are about.
Instead...they are telling us to get a job we will truly love, so that Mondays and commutes are fun and interesting everyday. But this took awhile. So...I think, good spot, crappy tag.

octo-america

Just thought I would share. Cause I care. And 08 is all about sharing and caring. Share and Care in 08.
Octo dog. What is better than like 3 ounces of processed meat, shaped phalecally, with the magical ability to become completely cooked within 3 minutes? Well, 3 ounces of magically cooked meat shaped as a squid (to your left). Because lord knows, if there was anything in the world, that I would want to see change, improve and infused with the creative juices (ewww!), it is the hotdog. Please, turn my hot dog into a octopus. Please, make in animatronic so that we can do stuff together. Please, poke little holes into him, representing eyeballs. I like when my meal stares at me. I like to eat transspecies specimens..."Pick a side, pick a side". Out of all the creative things that could be discussed, changed and altered for some use....this Octo-meat.....is the cream of the crop. Keep it coming inventors.....keep it coming.

this is a real newstory...and also why the south seriously scares me.

After the passing of Robert Goulet, I am guessing that the door was wide open for how to expand upon the ridiculously funny spot he stared in for last years super bowl. Clean premise...eat some emerald nuts, in order to keep from nodding off around 3pm at work....simple truth (cause lord knows I nod off at work all the time).
So they pushed it. And here are the out comes.
