It's Dunkin Donuts 60th Anniversary.

And since I literally owe much of my success as a human being (professional, student and otherwise), it would inappropriate not to holler holler holler about them on my blog. Check out their new Cup Design. 60 year worth of their logos. Sweetness.

Coffee Ads.

I love this campaign. The shoe one speaks volumes. That's why I rely on velcro (like a child).

Steroids with cream and two sugars.

So Dustin Pedroia of the Boston Red Sox gets his steroids poured into his morning iced coffee? I wonder how much one needs to get paid to admit something like that? It must be a lump sum of biblical proportions. Boooyahhhh (<---still drinking my coffee).

National Iced Coffee Day!

It's all rainy outside, but if you think that will keep me from enjoying this national holiday....you are sadly mistaking.

patriotism/caffeine addiction...same thing.

oh thank God. the good (overpriced pompous assholes with complicated drinks) people of Starbucks have decided to give us a free coffee, if and only if...we vote tomorrow. And that's if....and only if, you make it through this long ass spot (one whole minute) of nothing but typography and classical piano music.

But seriously...people, take advantage here. Presidential elections come once every 4 years...but a free coffee from the Starbucks conglomeration...that sh*t is priceless.

*hint- how many Starbucks stations are situated around the corner from your office? Well...that's how many free coffees you get tomorrow.

slutbucks.

Mark Dice is a renowned author. And by renowned, I mean leader of a cult called "the Resistance." He recently put out a press release...presumably by carrier pigeon, denouncing the Starbucks mermaid...you know, the logo, on the cup.

Calling for a boycott, he refers to the logo as , "a naked woman on it with her legs spread like a prostitute."

I too, did not know about the actual origin of the logo. Nor did I notice it. Here's the thing, if you think that Starbucks coffee drinkers give a f*ck about the slutty mermaid on their cups, you...Mr Dice, sure don't understand the effect that coffee has on people. Im pretty sure there could be vagina lips in a checker patterns all over the cup and no one would care. If drinkers had to wear a penis racing strip for the holidays to get a cup of coffee, it still wouldn't influence sales in the bigger cities.

There is however a little something else special going on here....the emergence of a new group of crazies. They believe that mock human sacrifices are done every year in the Bohemian Grove in California by our political and corporate elite. Anthrax was being sent around the US after 9/11 by our own government to enforce the Patriot Act. The United States military has built enormous Underground cities for the political elite. Mechanical hybrid Terminators are being manufactured by the Department of Defense.

Emhmmm. Sometimes I wish that reality TV would jump on this bandwagon. Say...an ABC special where the "Resistance" had a MTV Gaunlet challenge against "Scientlogists". My money would always be on the scientologists....but I would def root for the underdog.

Anyway...yeah, mermaid logos......who cares.
P.S. Kudos to me for not working a Disney Little mermaid reference in. I tried really hard. And suceeded. Atleast until I added this P.S.

how big? venti big!

Ok, Starbucks is up to something big (not to be confused for an x-large).Apparently they have been sending out emails such as the one to the right, telling "us" (well, not me cause I am a DD fan) to go to Bryant Park tomorrow for something "BIG".
This website calls it a "celebration." But the Onion is calling it a Phase 2. So here is what I am thinking.....remember a few months ago when Starbucks closed down for like 7 hours during a work day across the nation. Now they have this website for consumers . And lets face it, its no secret that they are trying to slowly take over the world. There are like 2 on every corner here in Chicago, cameoing in the Shrek movie series (which just wont seem to end)and now they are across the pond in Europe. What does this all mean?
I dont freakin know.....but it needs to stop. Or at least have a suitable outcome.
I feel like JJ Abrams has a hand in this. And I wouldn't be surprised if the Cloverfield monster, the smoke monster from LOST, and the entire cast of the series "Heroes" weren't all sitting in Bryant part tomm drinking White Chocolate Mocha Lattes with no whip and a shot of espresso.
Good luck gettin there to see them...you couldn't pay me to be in midtown at lunch hour. Especially when I can get a coffee from the DD around the corner. You know...that coffee shop that isnt trying to destroy the earth.
