Question?

Is anyone else concerned that the paparazzi were able to get next to nakey pictures of the next president of the United States on vacation?

Shouldn't there be like...secret service or security...or something?

"The biggest mistake made was that I could have called more shots on this: the opportunities that were not seized to speak to more Americans via media."

What ever happened to people knowing their strong suites?

The discovery of this video comes at an interesting time. I was just watching Talk to Me yesterday with my girl (good movie btw), and there was a riot scene in the movie that was the direct result of the homicide of Dr. martin Luther King. I pondered, out loud about the possibility of a riot occurring if Pres. elect Obama was murdered. She somewhat convinced me that people were less militant these days and that "mass societal attacks/riots/movement" were less likely than it was back in the fist pumping days.

This video proves that all you need is the perfect storm of occurrences and ignorance for people to act like f*cking killers. The saddest line in the 8 minute clip, is what that kid said at the very end. And unfortunately...it is how a lot of African Americans feel. And let's not even talk about how I had to find this video on a gossip blog, to even have known about the event at all.

"It's really sad - the recession is everywhere. But at least they are having good sales. That's where I got this! The recession!"

I don't know about you guys, but my xmas gift list has gone through numerous drafts. And people have been cut every time. My Dad is still on the border as of now (3 days from Christmas). It's good to see that everyone is suffering the same way during a recession.

May 1st....

...the day I find myself as a human being. The reason....this movie.

X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE HD

I just cried. In my office....tears of joy are running down my face.

UPDATE: On the not as cool front....here is the new Dragon Ball Z movie. Whap Whap!

Packaging packages.

Condomi is a condom/sex shop in Germany. They make the only condoms completely approved by the Vegan Society (always good to know). They also made this campaign, completely intimidating print ads that my friend Maya seems to be into (i.e. masochist, jk).

But most impressive...is their packaging, which allows you to grab someone elses package. Good stuff.

Can You Dig It?

I have decided to dedicate this Throwback Thursday to the 1979 cult classic The Warriors. Any self proclaimed cool kid has seen this movie. I originally was going to retell the story via youtube video (I just spent an hour of my life looking up and collecting certain scenes to show them in chronological order)...but I think it best to do a brief overview instead.

Plot:

NY is riddled with gangs (and not the lame ones of today that go by colors and "other things" but totally bad ass ones that dress up like their individual names and kick some serious ass on a regular basis).  Cyrus, the leader of one of the most powerful gangs in NY, the Gramacy Giffs has called a summit to unite all the gangs of the NY area in which there was suppose to be a truce. A Coney Island gang called the Warriors heads on down to the Bronx to attend. And the following occurs.

So the Warriors are blamed for Cyrus' death. And the plotless action commences. Now the Warriors must fight their way back to Coney Island and cross through the territories of rival gangs focused on revenge. There is alot of fighting and there is a lot of running. They end up fighting a lot of gangs along the way with awesome names like The Lezzies (aka sometimes you gotta hit a hoe), The Punks, the Orphans and the Baseball Furies.

By far...this is the most popular scene in the movie:

That's it.

So...the rest is up to you. I have informed you and now "being cool" is all on your shoulders. And don't rent. You must own it. The rest is up to you.

"Warriors, come out an PLLAAAYYYYYYAAAA!!!!!!!"

Ever wonder which Logo Obama didn't choose?

I know I haven't. But Im sure you design heads have.

This is for you. LOGO power activate!

LOST 2009...again.

Another sneak peak. Now I'm just getting confused.

Obama: College Years.

Time just proclaimed Barack Obama the Man of the Year. Apparently they couldn't afford to send a photographer out to take new pictures, but they did dig up some 80's photos of him that definitely make him look like a hip cat.

I don't know who this Lisa Jack person is...but it's kinda weird/cool that Barack just sat in a room smoking (and probably drinking) in the early 80s doing some sort of photo shoot being...you know approachable and human. 28 years later....the President of the US. Cool sh*t!

P.S. I want that hat.

This Mary is no Virgin.

The cover reads: We Love You Maria

Playboy Mexico is catching hell for this cover that they apparently did without Hugh's consent.
Raul Sayrols, publisher of Playboy Mexico, said in a statement, "The image is not and never was intended to portray the Virgin of Guadalupe or any other religious figure. The intent was to reflect a Renaissance-like mood on the cover."
