so you heard, mccain dared obama to go see the troops and obama did it(i wouldve used truth...but hey to each his own). But while in Iraq...Obama sinks a 3 pointer for troop moral.
mccain aint got nuthin on obama.
ok...back to making ads.

Look, politics are politics.
But REALITY is REALITY, and if we're going to cheer Obama's gym full of military people playing hoops, let's talk military.
John McCain was shot down over Vietnam flying is 23rd mission. You're aware that other than shooting baskets with the military, Obama did not serve, right?
After being shot down, having his back, arm, and leg broken, McCain had his shoulder crushed and was bayoneted by Viet civilians.
THEN, he was in captivity and tortured for FIVE AND A HALF YEARS. Think back five and a half years. Now imagine being tortured so you would renounce the US and its mission.
McCain endured the torture. He was offered release if he would "confess" but wouldn't go unless every man was released with him.
TWO SOLID YEARS in solitary. Rope bindings. Repeated beatings. EVERY TWO HOURS. His injuries have left him unable to lift his hands above his head.
McCain didn't DARE Obama to go to Iraq. He suggested that someone who proclaimed themselves for months as such an expert on the situation there should ACTUALLY VISIT THERE ONE TIME. Not a dare. Again, reality.
I don't think there were any boosterish video cameras or basketballs around when McCain was being tortured. I'm sure the high-fives would have flowed.
Seriously, I could give a flying hang who wins the election.
But I know a hawk from a handsaw.
im fully aware of all those things, trust me.
my enthusiasm for Obama is blatant and will continued to be graffitied all over my blog. this dude is cool. should that justify my undieing devotion to him? maybe not. but after 8 years of a bland, stupid and uncool president who has literally killed thousands (and/or stood by while thousands were killed, be it war, natural disaster...), Ill be damned if i fall for the credentials of ones past in the armed forces.
joining the forces was his decision. not joining was obamas. politics is a fickle game. if one candidate suggests that another should do something to the media, its a dare. its a game. his people are telling him to do it. its in his interest to mention that to the media. so then what...obama has to go. thats a dare.
and as far a media coverage....the next time mccain says that we need to help Chechslovakia, i will personally call him to tell him that 9th graders around the US are hanging their heads in shame. but media doesnt talk about that. they are too bust releasing behind the scenes footage of scrotum cutting threats. so if a member of our armed forces wants to tape obama and love him for a 3 point shot(that was a swoosh btw)...kudos, and thats awesome that he even inspires the troops to that avail.
just for the record...im not all about the politics either. i do care who wins the election. but the "he said, she said" bullsh*t is worthless...unless its funny. then i blog about it.
and as far as hawks and handsaws....i got nuthin...lol
Hey, it's your blog. Blog away.
But if you can't tell the difference in credibility, experience, and COMMITMENT between these two men as it concerns the military, I can't f-ing help you.
Also, you want to let the MILITARY decide who should be President? GOOD! I'm sure McCain will take that deal in a SECOND because the military would back McCain (regardless of the neato three pointer--which is hard to shoot when you can't raise your hands over your head because you were tortured for five and a half years in service of your country) by a 3 to 1 margin.
As for a "dare" you are clearly an art director. Not a writer. Words have meanings. They don't bend for the situation. Suggesting to someone that they should at least ONCE have visited the place they say isn't working? That isn't a dare. That's called pointing out someone's huge lack of credibility and totally naive viewpoint.
If you would like a "dare" I have one for you. McCain "dared" Obama to forgo public campaign financing. Obama PLEDGED that he would. Then he went back on his word.
Obama has many fine qualities. In eight years of Senate work, I think he'd make a great President. Right now, he just doesn't have the experience, nor the credibility.
But, then again, I like it when my President's spiritual advisors of three decades aren't spewing anti-white hate speech on a regular basis.
BTW, I'm not trying to be snippy. I just am astounded that McCain's devotion and sacrifice is being equated to never going to the theater of operations and making a three pointer.
Obama has McCain beat on lots of subjects, and I'd be just as astounded if someone equated McCains recent speech to the NAACP with Obama's growing up in a biracial family. Lifetime vs. anecdote. Doesn't wash.
But the real reason for another comment is, I'm a writer. So here's some wonderfulness from Shakespeare. It regards being sane, and knowing what reality is.
"I am but mad north-north-west: when the wind is southerly I know a hawk from a handsaw."
--Hamlet, Act II, scene ii
I will now stop pestering your very wonderful, enjoyable, and entertaining blog with my dirty diapers.
didnt mean to get into an all out debate. credibility and accountability aside. Everyone is allowed thier own opinion on who is right for the job of president of the united states. im not slighting yours and i am certainly not equating a free throw to a researched and sound campaign platform.
i Am telling you that i prefer Obama to Mccain as of now. things change. but my ideals probably wont. im not asking for your help or advice, but i do love opinions, so keep them coming by all means.
i knew there was a reason i liked you blog. just keep the shakespear quotes to a minimum...i enjoy pictures.
this was enjoyable.
ray allen should be president.
he's already been jesus. well....a jesus.
also, couldn't mccain do a granny shot?
light hearted comment. gracias!
i hate politics.
